IN HEAVEN
This world is coated in glass
Suspended in the crisp atmosphere
like a giant ballroom chandelier
tethered by countless brittle cables ready to snap under infinite mass.
Each shiny surface hangs motionless,
perfectly neutral in frozen time
and reflects every wavelength of light
Encompassing us all in shower of blinding white.
Everything is static and will remain new forever Where there is no pain and
no loss, just the comforting boredom of familiarity and compliance filled
with the thundering echo of unconditional silence.
Here there is no beginning and no end,
Beyond this crystal dome of paralyzed emotion, forgotten memories in orbit
contain our virtue and our sin but we are ever content in knowing we never
have to experience them again.
