if everything
if everything could be
in one instantaneous explosion
that was absolutely silent
motionless life forever
and entropy was not it was
as if a budding leaf could be
whole unfathomable eternities
and no consciousness knowing
lonely or homelessness
it was all within us
like orgasm or music
or both together
like dropping a tab in heaven
in sweaty summer shower
if everything could be this
and man a naked baby
lost in his inner space
there would be wordless
words and worlds with no places
in them nowhere utopia
and a skeleton's fingers
locked around the neck
of God who never was
and everything there
as time curled a snake
chasing tail so that
only music and orgasms
might remain -
but we are here as fragments
of dead children not in hell
yet except this living
pain today
and orgasms and music
are still insane
