After the Silence
After a remarkable silence
A lack of language
I am hungry for words
Desiring escape from vocabulary
I want to make poetry
Shine like honey in a jar on a windowsill
On a sunny summer’s day
I want to use simple lines
Unencumbered
Intense and fluid
Pushing my way
Towards the meaningful.
I want you to hear me.
