Memories of One
It only happened once.
That moment where words cannot describe
A feeling so full that
Bliss and ecstasy can’t begin to express
What you gave away for good judgment.
Sure that it would happen once more.
But it never could
Ecstasy came in the touch of your baby
Bliss in the face of your child.
But that one and only feeling was just that
Until one night when you least expect
To ever feel it again
You hear a song that wisps you away
To what remains of
your once in a lifetime.
